Created in the memory of Robert Jones

Bob was a keen fisherman and having been captivated by it while growing up, he could often be found down at the waters edge. He spent many happy hours teaching his three grandsons the art of fly fishing and was never prouder than when he was helping them to land a beautiful trout.

Of course there were many that got away....but he never gave up and in his later years he was lucky enough to own his very own stretch of chalk stream river. He took such pleasure from maintaining it, even going to great lengths to use his engineering skills to rebuild the hatches to provide a place for the fish to flourish.

As he was such a keen angler we feel that fish were probably more important to him than flowers so we'd ask that instead of sending flowers for his funeral you might like to make a donation to the Wessex Rivers Trust. We know Bob would feel this a most well deserving charity.
